Indigo GP Locums

We hold the following on file for all GP’s registered with us:

  • Status of GMC Registration & Licence to Practice with inclusion on the GP register
  • MDU certificate dated to cover sessions arranged, or other medical indemnity documentation
  • Letter from Primary Care Trust confirming their inclusion on a performers list
  • Joint certificate/CCT or equivalent.
  • Enhanced CRB disclosure or DBS
  • Copy of current work Visa or indefinite leave to remain status where applicable
  • Up to date CV, with no unexplained gaps
  • Two references of which one will be from last employer/ Trainer
  • Proof of up to date immunisations
  • Copy of up to date basic life support certificate
  • 2 form of identification (1 photographic) such as a Passport, Drivers Licence, bank Statements.
  • Passport photograph for identification verification purposes
  • Completed medical questionnaire
  • Copy of Smartcard with unique smartcard number
  • Copies of certificates for additional qualifications, for example, minor surgery, substance misuse & child health

Our information governance administration team check the Locum GP’s documentation and clinical status on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis (depending on documentation), and all documents are rechecked before being sent out for a booking.


 

Indigo Nurse Locums

We hold the following on file for all Nurse’s registered with us:

  • Registration with NMC
  • Professional Indemnity Record
  • Enhanced CRB disclosure or DBS
  • Copy of current work Visa or indefinite leave to remain status (where applicable)
  • Up to date CV, with no unexplained gaps
  • Two references of which one will be from last employer / Trainer
  • Proof of up to date immunizations
  • Copy of up to date basic life support certificate
  • 2 form of identification (1 photographic) i.e a Passport & bank Statements.
  • Passport photograph for identification verification purposes
  • Completed medical questionnaire
  • Copy of Smartcard with unique smartcard number
  • Copies of certificates for additional qualifications e.g Diabetes Management

Indigo Admin Locums

We hold the following on file for all Admin, Reception and Managers registered with us:

  • CRB disclosure or DBS
  • Copy of current work Visa or indefinite leave to remain status where applicable
  • Up to date CV, with no unexplained gaps
  • Two references of which one will be from last employer / Trainer
  • Proof of up to date immunizations
  • Copy of up to date basic life support certificate
  • 2 form of identification (1 photographic) such as a Passport, Drivers Licence, bank Statements.
  • Passport photograph for identification verification purposes
  • Completed medical questionnaire
  • Copy of Smartcard with unique smartcard number where applicable
  • Copies of certificates for additional qualifications e.g. AMSPAR Diploma in Primary Healthcare Management, Degree or equivalent.

Our information governance administration team check the locum admin, management, secretarial and reception staffs documentation on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis (depending on documentation), and all documents are rechecked before being sent out for a booking.


 

Indigo Placement Locums

The placements division deals with all levels of both clinical and clerical staff, as such the documentation held by this division will depend on the requirements of the vacancy. The above lists indicate what information Indigo hold on each level of staff and can be used as a reference guide.

Any other documentation for a vacancy can be requested as necessary for your vacancy.

 


 

Frequently Asked Questions

Will i see the documents if I book with Indigo?

Yes

Once we have arranged cover for you and agreed who will cover the sessions / shifts for you, we will provide you with the relevant medical documentation and a copy of their photo ID for you own records, should you need it for audits or in relation to any QOF work.

Will the Locum/Cover have ID with them when they arrive?

Yes

We provide anyone who works through Indigo with a company ID badge. This badge will hold all the identification information required for you to confirm that the Locum or Cover are with Indigo.

On the rare occasion that the Locum does not have their Indigo ID badge with them they will provide you with an alternative form of photo identification upon request e.g. driving license.
